This is my 12th year as Library Research Teacher at Memorial School! I'm very familiar with this great school community because my 3 daughters attended MERSD schools!

I'm a New York transplant. Prior to moving to beautiful MBTS, I enjoyed careers in marketing communications, employee relations, and mass-market publishing. I love learning and love going to school! I have studied at URI, F.I.T., Fordham, Manhattanville College, Simmons College, and Penn State!  I have an AAS in Merchandising, a BA in Marketing, an MS in Writing, an MSLIS in School Library Studies, and a Graduate Certificate in Children's Literature. I am licensed to teach Library Studies K-12 and Gr 5-8 ELA.

In addition to loving school - and reading, of course! - I enjoy hanging out with my kids, spending time at the beach, and traveling. This summer I enjoyed travels driving from Germany  to the Czech Republic, and hiking in the English Lake District . I love visiting Europe and hope to explore other continents in the years to come. But my favorite place to visit is NYCwhere no two people are alike and anything is possible!

My goal at MMES is to nurture a love of reading and inquiry among my students.  I believe asking questions, researching answers and reading can bring an understanding of the whole wide world right to our doorstep...and all for free at the library:)
